We Don't Chase Numbers

I spent years looking for validation through numbers. Views, likes, streams, followers I tracked all of it obsessively. Every morning I'd open my phone and check if the algorithm had finally decided to reward me.
It hadn't. And the more I chased it, the more I lost something I couldn't name at the time.
The Trap!
We all want to be our own benchmark: "to have millions of plays overnight." but in music it doesn't work that way; before you win, you'll have to lose a lot, and that's part of it.
"Everyone is for music, but music isn't for everyone."
The Turn
It wasn't something that came out of nowhere; it took time, and it took me a while to understand.
To make a living doing what you love, you first have to be what you love in every possible way, from the way you dress to the way you behave in the street.
Personally speaking, I think the secret lies in the feeling of doing and redoing every day each thing you find unnecessary; having discipline is the key.
What Happened Next ?
After 9 insane months of posting, investing my work money in my dream, I finally made a sale to Greece! That's incredible, man.
I was in shock for weeks wondering what made someone on the other side of the world buy my beat, that's truly incredible.
"Don't follow the numbers, follow your intuition, it's the key!"
For 3 years I've been posting beats non-stop, and during those years I remembered why I started, and that's the same reason I promise myself I won't stop!
