[free] fergie baby x a$ap ferg x ferg | experimental trap

About this beat

Aimed uptown, at the Harlem lane where NY drill meets the flashier side of New York rap.

Sitting at 140 BPM, fast enough to push energy, slow enough to stay legible. In E Minor, the progression leans somber, which gives melodic hooks somewhere to sit and aggressive verses something to push against.

The arrangement leans on synth, keys, bass, beats, brass, percussion and piano. Reads as powerful up front, with exciting underneath. Shades of bouncy, confident, inspiring. Runtime is 03:00, enough runtime for a standard verse-hook-verse structure without editing.
