Melodic R&B Type Beats

Melodic R&B on the trap side of the map: sung hooks, soft synth pads and 808s that stay low and smooth instead of hard. It is the lane artists like Gunna work in, where the vocal melody carries the record and the beat leaves room for it. These instrumentals are built for that pocket: late-night chords, slow-rolling drums and space for a singer or a melodic rapper.
